What's the penalty for a (misdeamenor) child endangerment charge? |
This is a bit embarrassing, but my brother in-law was detained by law enforcement Sunday night as he apparently asked a Disneyland employee to watch his 7 year old boy while he took his younger 5 year old son on a Disneyland ride. The employee agreed and then proceeded to call security. Well, after the ride was over, Anaheim's finest was waiting for my idiot brother-in-law and detained him and escorted him to Mickey-Mouse jail for a few hours. To make a long story short, the police cited him for child endangerment and let him and his children go home. His worry is that the judge will send him to jail, take away the kids and ultimately lose his house. This is his first offense by the way. Those of you that know the legal system any, how's the court most likely going to address this case? ok that was a darwin moment on his part. |
