Lawyers/Attoneys only?

I am security guard, and I
was forced to work a 25
hour shift at the Kentucky
Derby. It was either work
it or be fired is what I was
told.

I guarded the parking lot Friday
night for 11.5 hours. I left at
7:30 in the morning, when I
got home I was called to come
back in. I told my supervisor
I had just worked and I had
something to do today.
She told me if I didn't come
back in then I was fired.

So I went back in and got
out at 10:30 pm.

What can I do about this?
And if I can sue then how
much can I get, if I can sue?

You don't have grounds to sue, you were given the choice to work or not, you chose to work.

In most states security guards are under the same labor laws as police enforcement. This meaning a break is not necessary by law. It should be given out of genuine concern for another human but your boss does not have to give u a break. I know that sux

You should check to see whether you get paid time and a half, which most businesses do when this occurs. I have to say suing is quite dumb over something that frivilous.

contact the local labor board they will be able to help you but you cant sue them you could have said no
