Do You Agree With the Belgrade Law Students?

"We are deeply distressed by the Kosovo events. The Parliament of the Serbian Province of Kosovo run by UN Mission has illegally and unilaterally proclaimed independence. This decision was made against the international law and the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which calls for a negotiated settlement on future Kosovo status and substantial autonomy of Kosovo within Serbia. If the international community gives its consent for this unlawful act, the internationally recognized borders of Serbia will be redrawn, the sovereignty of Serbia abolished and 15% of its territory amputated. After a decade of ethnic Albanian repression, Kosovo politicians prove that Kosovo is being established as an ethnic Albanian state, which will not serve all its citizens but only one ethnic group.

We are calling for the international rule of law by not recognizing the phony state of Kosovo as independent, because it is the only way to retain peace and stability."

Yes. The recognition of Kosovo as an independent country is against international law. The US interest is both conflicting and transparent. They are supporting an illegal Islamic state which goes against every other war they are fighting. But Kosovo is rich in natural resources... sound familiar?

What is there not to agree about?

The only thing there is to disagree or not is if International Law is irrelevant or not...

Of course, if one sees self above International Law; putting it under own political interests and power, then there is trouble on the way...

Serbia has become he designated "badguy" in the Balkan conflict it is Ok for the US to battle Islamic terrorism but something else for the Serbs to do so,while not Angels themselves by any means the Serbs do not deserve this injustice
