Calling employers?

yes i like to know how often are you supposed to call employers to show them you are interested in the postion you are applying for. is it once a week? or every 2 weeks? cause im looking for a security guard job and i do have my lic , so i like to know how often you should call these companies? let me know asap.

Well you do not want to make yourself a nuisance and they might not be wanting to hire you. I would call them within a few days of applying, then follow up in a week. If you do not hear from them I would then send a letter the second week. After that i would wait a month a send another letter. If you don't hear i would be looking somewhere else.

i like this answer its very good Report It

I would ask at the interview, when is a good time to call and how often can I call. Do I need to reapply after a certain amount of time goes by.
If this is the first call this week, go ahead and call. Hopefully they will tell you the job is yours. If not ask when should you call back.

In the mean time, understand this:
There are some people who wait for things to happen,
people who make things happen,
and people who ask what happened,

Make some good things happen for yourself, continue to put applications different places. Do at least 4 -5 per day in the morning and rest in the afternoon and prepare for the next day of job hunting or working. Always ask after completing the app or after an interview when should you be expecting a call from them or when and how often you can call to find out if the position has been filled. Also, how often should I come and reapply. I would always ask this, "once I am employed what are my chances of moving into a higer position and rasies".

Good luck,
Contessa

It all depends, Have you asked them when they expect to fill the position. I would check back with weekly .

call once a week I would send a thank you letter for the interview
