Are they permited to use Sodium pentothal or anything like this on claiments?

They are not permitted to use any type of medication on someone without a court order. Even then it would need to be administered by a doctor. They are not going to get a court to order the use of sodium pentothal, however, because it has no practical medical use.
Why would they want to use it anyway? It is a myth that it will force someone to tell the truth. In reality, it is a powerful barbiturate that makes a person prone to suggestion and it reduces their inhibitions. Sure, someone might tell the truth while under the influence of sodium pentothal, but they are just as likely to lie, make up stories, or babble on about something they hallucinated. The military abandoned this drug years ago when they discovered that instead of making people tell the truth it really just makes them inebriated and obnoxious.
