I just got my stollen ipod back...?

Yesterday,
while i was at my middle school rally,
three kids were envolved with the theft of my 40gb video ipod,

When i looked through my backpack for it when i got home, it was gone,
and i emidiatly started calling literaly everyone i know that goes to my school,

i figured out that a kid took an ipod that fit the discription of mine at the rally,
and i told school security and the principle the next day,

later that day, i got my ipod back!
i was really excited, untill i found out that
my 1500 songs were delated,
my pictures, movies, and music videos were gone,
they took my gym membership i had taped on the back of it off,
and the completly sandpaperd off the engravment of my name and phone #.
and to top it all off, he put like 300 DIRTY songs of his on there...

is there anyway i can get back my money, or press charges or anything?

okay, when i say i got it back, i mean that i TOLD THE PRINCIPLE,
and school security got it back! and the kid got suspended, and i also found out there were two other kids who were a part of it too, and they also got suspended,

and dont say it is my fault for not protecting it,

i am not allowed to keep it in my pocket at school!
you get refurls for that!

If you are unable to reload the songs onto your IPOD, get another membership card (for free), then your PARENTS, NOT you would have to take the child's parents to small claims court.

In regards to the "dirty songs", that has nothing to do with it. Just delete them.

Take him to small claims court. Make the jackass replace it. He scratchedf it up to hide anything that could be traced back to you. Then he personalized it. Do you have proof that he took it? You didn't say who you found out it was him. Did the principal drag him in or security catch him? Have your mother call is mother and make him pay for the damage. It doesn't matter if it was in school or what not, the kid stoled your ipod and ruined it.

well heres where i dont think your being truthful..had you actually paid for those songs they would have been on your itunes..so reload them to your ipod! dont press charges just make sure they get a good punishment from the school..if you did use something like limewire you could actually be digging your own grave..i suggest you shut up about it..reload the songs and have them buy you a new encasement..
and call your gym and tell them that your card was stolen..and ask for a different account

You cant rellay press charges for theft its Ur fault for not protecting it enough, you should of kept it in Ur pocket and not left ur book bag alone. And u need more proof for all you know the kid could of been threated to do it.

Just get itunes and re-do everything from start. I know its hard, but yeah. Good Luck.

Middle School huh?, Well tell your principal or whom ever runs the disciplinary part, Or you could get a lawyer or go to your local Court House

well...they should be on your itunes right? just put them back on there.......

and about the gym membership...welll, dont keep something like that on ur ipod..
