Tan Security Tags never got taken off at Hollister? Is there a way to do it myself?

Hi I just went shopping and payed $20 on a shirt at Hollister and when I came home after the 2 hour drive, low and behold, the security tag was still attatched. I did not steal it, I payed for it, but the woman at the counter didn't remove it but the alarm didn't go off either. Is there a way to safely remove the kind of tan tags they have at Hollister without damaging the item? I payed for it; I did not steal it! I really wanted to wear the shirt tomorrow too. Once again I did not steal it. Thanks to all who try to answer!

no there really isnt. the security tags are filled with ink and if you tamper with them. they will explode. you would have to rip the shirt to get the tag off, but i know you dont want to do that. i would call hollister and tell them what happened. they should offer to send you a new one if you send that one back to them. and they should offer shipping. if they dont offer to solve the problem without you having to drive 2 hours back there, make sure you talk to a manager.

No, there isn't. I used to work at a department store and a woman came in with the security tag still attached to the shirt she had bought. She tried to yank it off and there was an ink stain that was about 2 inches in diameter left on the short.

Call the store and tell them what happened and how big of an inconvenience it is for you. If they're nice, they will ask you to go there, take off the tag and return your money or at least give you some kind of compensation.

Better yet, if there's a Hollister store near where you live, you can have the store where you got it from call the store where you can get the tag off and have them give you some kind of compensation there instead.

Just remember that you SHOULD get some kind of compensation for this because it was entirely their fault.

NOOOOOOO lol i had this happen to me with a pair of Levis i bought from sears and my hubby tried to cut it off so i didnt have to drive back 20 minutes and it broken and blue ink was all over everything . your better off to take your receipt back in to the store and have them remove it !!!
