If you have a social security card with a name other than what is written on your birth certificate?

how will this effect the person?

For instance, Maria N. Gonzalez is the name on the Birth Certificate and State ID/Driver's Lic.
And Maria Nina Gonzalez is on the Social Security Card and US Passport.

Is there a possible negative consequence that might transpire from the slight differences in name? (Let's assume that this person is an honest person and not into any fraudulent activities)

no; the official doc's provide MORE info; making it harder for them to be tampered with. I'd have the state DR changed to match the SS and passport if possible
