I have requested a security clearance by my employer. I have a felony conviction 34 years. What do I do?

I will respectfully disagree with the poster above me. A felony conviction will remain in an NCIC file for the remainder of your life.

Best course of action in this case would be to consult an attorney within the jurisdiction of the arrest/conviction to have the felony expunged.

Expungement will remove all records of the arrest/conviction from public eye but will then be locked away where law enforcement and the court system can access it if needed.

Upon expungement, all your rights will be restored.

HUM i thought after so many years I believe it to be 7 or 10 years that it should have been dis ponged put to be safe i would call the county court house and ask, after all this time you think it would be done with. 34yrs &still making someone LIFE MISERABLE
