How much does it cost on average to keep an inmate in a prison (maximum security prison prefered), I've been searching this past week but coulnd't find any hard on facts, if possible state your source (work cited)

I think it was like 拢2000 a week but i dont think thats for a maximum security. i think i heard it from my law teacher, sorry its not very specific.
