Want the age for retirement on social security in arizona?

my daughter resides in arizona and is going to be 6i and needs to retire, she needs to know when she can retire.

You can retire at 62 no matter where you live, you can''t get medicare until you are 65 tho

All states are the same. Federal Program. For people retiring now and over the next 8 years , you can get partial social security at 62 1/2 and regualr social security at 65.
Medicare does not start until 65.

If you are not about to retire, check the link the guy posted. The age for retirement rises each year.

For full benefits she (assuming she was born between 1943-1954) she would need to be 66; she can collect less than full benefits at 62. What state she lives doesn't matter.

If she has a disability, her age has no bearing on whether she may collect it under those circumstances. See the second link for more info on that.

some people can retire at 65 or 75 it all depends how much u have set a side in your social security.will it be enough for u to retire and not worry in the future for money.if she wants to she can retire at eny time she wants but that is a varieble thats needs to be taken care of...money.

Social Security is a federal program, not a state program. As such, it does not vary dependent upon which state you reside in, but rather on the basis of your year of birth.

as previously suggested, visit www.ssa.gov

It doesn't vary by state. It depends on your year of birth. www.ssa.gov

ASK SS SHE MIGHT HAVE TO WORK TIL SHE'S 70
