You probably would be able to purcahse a handgun, as long as you do not have a criminal record. You may forgte why you bought the gun.

Would it be very smart to own a gun, knowing you have a disorder that would only irritate the problem? Its like playing with fire, sooner or later you will get burned. Try a little self control here and dont go giving gun owners a bad name.

If you have seen a Doctor because of your bipolar disorder, which you probably have to be eligible for Soc Sec, then no you will not be able to purchase or own a firearm.
