HELP! I have a bullet shaped pendant about 1 cm long. Is it prohibited at the airport security checks?

Will they confiscate it? not believe me that it is only a pendant not a real bullet? it's made of brass. It's important to me.

I'm going to LA on May from Manila. Just wondering if I cant wear my necklace because of how it looks.

YES THEY WILL. Put it in your checked baggage. It won't be a problem there. But, it WILL be a problem if you try to take it through regular security to board the plane. You can also UPS it to yourself.

I wouldn't chance it if you want to keep it and make the flight.

With an appropriate charge behind it and an appropriate cylinder, it's a gun.

Doesn't matter if it's a pendant - it could still kill.

Their is no rule against a bullet SHAPED object. However, you would have to convince someone that probably does not care that it was not actually a bullet. If in doubt, they will error on the side of confiscating absolutely anything.

Probably easier to mail it to yourself.

not if it's obviously not a bullet. if it takes some time to notice it's a pendant then yeah. bullets themselfs are allowed as long as oyu don't have a weapon to fire it with.
