First offense for battery resulting in bodily injury and violation of a no-contact order question? |
I have been charged with battery resulting in bodily injury to a neighbor of mine next door in the state of Indiana which is a Class A Misdemeanor, this is my first offense of any kind. I have a no-contact order against me towards this neighbor and he likewise towards me. My wife and I want to put up a surveillance system outside of our house to monitor our property. It doesn't say anything on the no-contact order in any way that I can not put up a security system, but this neighbor will complain to the authorities and say that I am putting surveillance up to monitor him, but it will be intended to make sure that he stays on his property and does not bother us anymore. Could this be deemed as a violation of a no-contact order against me if we put this security system in effect? I don't see how... From what you describe, it doesn't sound as though you're having any direct or indirect contact with him... |
