Coworker sexual harassment? |
I am a male security officer at my job another male has repeatedly touched/grabbed my butt. Once while bending over to pick something up he grabbed my hips and ground his crotch into my rear. I do have multiple witnesses. What do I do. It is unwanted I am a very happily married man and it makes me very uncomfortable having been sexually assaulted as a child. Am I over reacting? wow!!! clearly this guy has issues . I think this is worse than had you been a women. talk about his feel of "entitlement" and "assumes position" . i think what creeps me out, he is in a security officers uniform (feeling power) or lack of, that's why he likes this work, when the uniform goes on, his "real" person TRANSFORMS to a perv that has NO Regards for personal space. OK , you both are on equal ground? right? same job title . has he just started doing this? does he show this barbaric side to other co-workers? I'm asking because he may have a file w/ a warning or two and that would be nice. you need to write this stuff down adding the feelings at that moment. then i would go to your boss and tell him/her that you need to get their input. go into this with how you value your job. but need to express Grave concern, not just for you, but for your company you serve to keep SAFE . now if this doesn't get action, you will need to take outside action. sorry i am going on here, but in to days times, this is disturbing. this isn't even a homosexual man trying to make moves, this is a perverted power struggle. women are touchy, huggy types, men just don't do this. (its not a guy thing) good luck, peace to you, Dierdre No ... that's just as bad ... if not worse (I'm thinking worse) than male on female sexual harassment. Report the individual to your HR department. They legally have to deal with the issues. |
