Shoplifting at Walmart - Would it be on my record?

Okay - so I stole a 3 juice drinks from walmart less than $10 about a year ago. I was caught by an undercover security. He told me that if I was to go in any walmart across the US and the pull up my name, it would be in their record. He letted me go, with a smart remark of, "You should just be thankful I have class, or else the police would be here right now." Of course, I was angry at his disrespect towards me, but thankful too. Then a lady told me that I can come into this walmart again, but I'll be under surveillance, so they would be watching me very closely.
Since then I have returned to that Walmart 3-4 times, but of course learning from the past, I don't steal anymore.

So will it be in my record? Or just in their Walmart record? Should I have anything to worry about?

Of course I was way thankful that they didn't do anything else. It's just that I cooperated so well with them. We are still all human beings. If I gave him respect, and being in my position, I know i don't deserve as much as i show him, but I don't deserve to be treated like a dog. But the main point is, I AM THANKFUL that they letted me off like that.

Since you were never convicted of a crime it will not be on your criminal record. It could of course affect employment applications at WalMart...

I'd be worried about your attitude. You stole from them and have the nerve to say they disrespected you. Amazing.

But to the point it sounds to me like there is no public record of your crime, however they also banned you for life, so you could be brought up on trespassing charges at some point in the future.

Why would you be angry at the disrespect they showed you? You stole from them. Should they have respect for a petty thief who they were good enough not to have prosecuted? You owe them a thank-you card, not your ire.

If they did not press charges then you will not have it on your criminal record.

lol no dont worry. i work at safeway so i know how it works. he let you go so the police have no record. if he copied your info/pic down its ok you can still go into the store. because there is NOT some1 watching the cameras 24/7, they have millions of customers and wont recognize your face. the only person that you should be worried about is the same guard IF he remembers your face. but if you get caught stealing again and they have your info down then they can get you in more trouble. but if you learned your lesson dont worry. you arent important enough 2 them 2 be on the lookout 4 you. we get the same shoplifters everyday
