Liberty or Security? |
A few days ago i put up a question about Liberty vs. Security. Most of the answers were liberty. (which is more important?). Now i want to ask the persons that think security is more important, why do they think so? My opinion is that both are important but if i had to choose between these two i guess i would choose security. Well, security is more important than liberty. Look at what happened in 9/11. Security. Without security you have no Liberty. If you didn't have people protecting our borders...and the people in the United States, then you wouldn't have the chance to post this question or walk your street without fear of being shot. Security comes first then you have the liberty to have liberty in everyday life. Those who give up a some liberities to gain some security deserve neither because they have been conned by a neo nazi president In America, one should not exist without the other. From the first day that we Iranian have created civilization for human being in the history, we have given a lot of weight for 'security' and then as you know we were the first nation that we published law about 7000 years ago an then we published the Bill of Rights and the First Charter of Rights about 2600 years ago. You cant be free when you are dead. I am sorry that I missed your other post, else I would have posted my response there. |
