Do maximum security prisons allow their inmates to recieve letters? |
I want to correspond with my best friend's brother, who is currently doing time at Waupun Correctional Institute, which is a maximum security prison. At this time, I cannot contact my friend and can't figure out why, so I'm hoping I an get ahold of his brother and figure out what is going on. I just don't know if Max security prisons allow their inmates to recieve letters. Yes, but the letters are subject to review unless marked "legal mail." If you mark something "legal mail" and it isn't legal mail, your letter will be returned to you. There is a great website: www.prisontalk.com - It is for those who will or have been incarcerated and their families, friends, loved ones - lots of great information you can't get anywhere else. Good luck. Yes, but beware the letters are read before they are given to the inmate and also their outgoing mail is read. all prisons allow the inmates to correspond by mail Yes but remember that the mail is censored before the inmate gets it. the answer is yes. all prisons allow there inmates to receive mail. you need to comply with certain requirements - as to pictures and such. i hope not |
