Can i get social security disablity benifits from my ex spouse.? |
my ex husband soon to be recieves social security disababilty.an can i recieve part of his benifits.since we are divoricing. I dont mean money people i mean medical an for our children. No...you cannot get any part of his check nor does his disability qualify you for medical. You are triffeling. gold digger The disability is for him not you. You'll have to find another racket. No, get a freakin' job. I can't believe that someone would even ask that ? Didn't you think about all the crap answers that you would get back from this? I do not believe that you are entitled to a cent of his disability benefits once you divorce. Unfortunately, you will have to go out and get a job to support yourself. when you yourself are either disabled or reach retirement age yes .........you can recieve up to50%but his payment wont change ( ex. he gets $600 a month, he will stillget $600 you canqualify for up to $300) also if he dies and you have dependentchildren under age 21 you canqualify.....until one of those thingshappens you are entitled tonothing. do you have kids? cant you support yourself? do you live your life sucking money out of people (or the gov't) becuase you are too lazy to earn a living yourself. Are you disabled? cant you get your own govt welfare check if you are? work the system lady and make it worse for those of us who are responsible and self supportive. you are what's wrong with society today Well you have to be over 62 or disabled yourself and you have to have been married for at least 10 years then you might qualify. If you have kids by him you may qualify for something each month no the only way u could get it is if ur ex died before u divorced.then u have to wait until ur 62 yrs old to get it.another way is..if uve been married to ur ex for over 10 yrs n neither one of u got remarried...u can get a widows pension after he dies..n then u still wont get it til ur 62.if he has children under 18(some states 21) can get a part of his disabilty You can only get it if he died and you were married to him for 10 years before the divorce otherwise you can't. Also you'd have to be disabled or 62 years old and if you have kids you may be able to get something if you can prove that the kids need it. No. You are not entitled to his disability benefits. Disability benefits through Social Security are considered separate property. Disability benefits through a private insurer may be part of marital property. You are entitled to Social Security retirement benefits if you were married to him at least 10 years and 1 day. Disability benefits would be included as income for determination of child support. |
