How does one get security clearance for a job?

there is a Job going at newcastle airport but how do i get security clearance

I work at a school and had to get clearance.It was paid for by the school and done through disclosure Scotland.There is likely a similar arrangement for your proffession.The company will see to it.You just give them your details.

The airport will outsource your "security clearance" to whichever gov't agency or subcontractor is charged with that task. Someone will pull your records, call your references and family members, and do a background search. They will either clear you for the job or not based upon your background check.

I had to go for training for security from the SIA (security industry authority) and had to have a clean record. I haven't taken up the post yet as i had to wait a long time for my licence to come through. Once you get this licence it is recognised through out the industry and means that you have been 'checked out'. Good Luck.

If you apply for the job they should give you the forms to fill in so they can check your security clearance.

In the job I am in I have high security clearance and it came after I got the job.
I filled in all the forms on my first day and it took about six weeks to be verified.
I had previous military experience which helped but I went through the exact same procedure to join that also.

If you have no criminal record in yourself or immediate family, no history of drugs etc then you should have no problems.

You can't get security clearance just for the sake of having it, there has to be a requirement for granting it, i.e necessary for a job.

get a security guard to kick the other security guys *** like street fighter than your through to the next stage

The company you applied to will do that on your behalf they check everything, must not miss days on your employment history, they are very strict about that
