Collecting child support from social security?

is it possible to collect child support from a persons social security account if person is not deceased, but is no longer able to maintain a job?

is it possible to collect child support payments from a persons social security fund if the person is not deceased,unable to maintain a job, but is not old enough to collect on it himself?

Yes, as long as its not SSI- (supplemental income).
Child support will be able to garnish from any of the social security benefits including disability benefits.... Even after the person passes away if they leave any children behind the custodial parents can go to Social Security and collect benefits for the minors

my x is on ss and i just get a check from ss for my son, go to the ss commission and ask them what to do. they should be able to tell you everything, good luck

yes as long as the person has some kind of income coming in it is possible.

yes you can collect support from a person on SSD AND get a monthly entitlement check to boot! The entitlement check is the child's the child support...although very limited in amount...is yours! Just another showing that a woman will continue to kick you til you have both feet firmly in the ground!
