Wat is the law for door security staff? |
would like to know where i can find the law governing door security staff My Partner is a Security Guard and he said to contact The SIA (Security Industry Authority) - you can contact them for the laws as well as how to obtain a Security License any of your local council offices, they are the body who give you your license in the end..if you have any complaints about a member of a door security firm, find who they work for, take there badge number and go to your local council...everything is there..im a bouncer myself Door security staff or "bouncers" (call them what you will) have no more, or less, legal rights than anybody else outside the law enforcement services such as the police. Like any shopkeeper or householder they can simply allow or refuse admission to the premises for which they are responsible and call in the police if an arrestable offence is committed. The law is the same for doorstaff as it is for any member of the public. from November all security staff must have their SIA licence - 拢160 for door staff, you do a 3 day training course and then sit 2 exams - Health & safety and conflict management, if you fail I think you get 2 more chances to resit it costing an additional 拢80 Your question is very vague.
