An urgent flaw needing immediate attention in Airport security? |
I needed to allow this as general knowledge as a concern. Did anyone watch flight 93 the movie? If you did you might have notice the terrorist had knives supposedly. Now to my concern, I have noticed a special type combat knife is available that is made of polymer and can be sharpened. These knives come in a variety of forms such as in a bowie knife form and various exotic weapon forms that are extremely dangerous in close proximity combat. I do not know the name of the manufacterer however I believe there should be some background check perhaps on this type of weapon? My urgent concern is the airport security at various airports only screen for metal objects. This weapons are gauranteed would get through. We do not want this! I urge many to act now before this weapon falls in the wrong hands. This is one of my concerns, and this is my method of looking out to make sure 9/11 will never happen again. Talk about it. Look this weapon up, and if you have legal power take action. Actually, if your intent is to be safe, then by all means, turn off your computer, go get into bed and stay there. Relax...While you are correct that that this item would get through metal detection it would not escape visual detection of the x-ray scan or a pat down search for that matter. Sorry to alarm you but a sharpened pencil, or even a pen, would be just as effective a weapon in the proper hands. Anything and everything around you is a potential weapon. Protecting an airplane from hijackers is going to be a little more complicated than stopping them from getting a knife on board. It will require action in the air when the hijackers arise. All we can do is hope we are prepared for the worst when it happens again. |
