Somebody is using my dad's social security, what can he do? |
the other day he received a W2 form, from a company in Georgia, but my dad live and works in texas, somebody is using his social security, what can he do or to what agencies he can go? Get a hold of the Big three credit tracking unions. Experian is really good. You will also need to file a police report in your hometown, and then have them fax it to the company in Georgia. Also take a copy of the police report and the Georgia W2 to the Social Security Office and file charges there as well. vote against any politician calling for amnesty Yikes, I would call Social Security and tell them. Also contact the job where this person is using your Dad SSN. Tell them the guy isn't who he says he is. That is what I would do.. Hope everything works out for you.. He can go to his nearest social security office and report it. They will catch up with the guy. Meanwhile he can also call the company that the w2 is from and report the guy for fraud. It might be an illegal alien. report it too the Social Security office asap!!!! and go from there. Start with the local police in person with all the papers he has received. Then, if they don't contact the Social Security office and tell them about the fraud. Maybe your local FBI could help. This is Social Security Fraud and possibly Identity theft. Move quickly on this! |
