What happens to a person convicted of social security fraud?

My Ex- girlfriend called me up in tears, because she is being investigated for social security fraud. Along with not claiming any taxes. what are the penalties she faces? She is guilty. Itried to warn her she would get caught sooner or later. Honesty IS the Best policy!

Fine and/or imprisonment is waiting for someone who is convicted of a social security fraud.

HTey go to prison. I think it is a 5 year sentence. But it also depends on how many counts of fraud they were convicted of too.
