Are security people at arenas allowed to grab people for no reason? Nobody is allowed to "grab people for no reason" - the key, in this case, is what the security people were thinking at the time, and what they can articulate. I guess that would depend on what your definition of "no reason" is. No. Report them to the head of arena security or they'll continue to abuse patrons. I think they get a bit carried away They are NOT police officers, they are simply employees making citizens arrests.
