Home security?

does anybody ever evaluate their homes for safety if so then how and what do you do after that?

Any home security company will give you an evaluation. They will check out you doors, windows, lighting, etc, and give you their recommendations. But you can do it yourself by checking out some home security tip websites, and it's absolutely free with no pressure to buy anything. They have lots of free ways to make your home safer, like trimming down the bushes next to your doors so no one can hide there. And low cost ways to do it yourself, like installing motion lights.

Every day, I observe the windows, make sure they are locked, i check my security cameras and lights on a daily basis and check for any attempted forced entry.

There is no one security system or security plan that fits all properties. If you need a quality home security system then you need to design it, in order to suit your property.

Use AXIS network camera which is rank $200.0 - $550.00 and it would be better using wireless technology so you can mounted on the wall or ceiling much easier, the latest software even have features motion activated recording, which means remote surveillance automatically send notifications to your cell phone when motion is detected.

There are also pinhole lenses, ceiling mount smoke alarm color cameras and door view cameras available for home use. You may choose what best for yours.

Free home security and self defense tips from the #1 author of home security articles in the country are available in this mailing list at the website below. Other websites have free tips as well.

Some home security companies will give you an evaluation if you are geared to listen to a sales pitch.

A lot of police departments/sheriff departments will do it if they have time. The neighborhood watch program has lots of good info too.

There is even a show that may still be on the discovery channel called "To Catch a Thief" that is well worth watching.

Hope that is helpful.
