What contributions has the ACLU made to protecting national security?

What legal steps has it advocated, or what litigants has it supported, to further the goals of enhancing our nation's security and/or aiding law enforcement authorities in doing their jobs?

Thanks.

None, to the other answerers, treason is defined as "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" Sounds a lot like the ACLU does.

none but can you point out some instances where they undermine national security?

They have a whole section in their website.

Defending the Constitution generally qualifies as protecting national security.

their objective is to protect our civil liberties, not our national security or aid law enforcement authorities. the ACLU primarily works with lawyers.

They are interested in preserving our freedom.

Politicians are to blame for national security problems. The Republicans in power are lazy self-serving jokes. (generally speaking) They want the system to work itself out. That's the lazy and clueless way. Democrats and liberals want to actively seek out solutions because we don't trust the system to fix itself. Problems never just go away. Never.

We need to be working hard with diplomacy. That is the way to secure our freedom and safety. Why is this so difficult? You must be able to communicate honestly and with fairness. You have to find common ground and work from there.

The ACLU is an organization concerned with civil liberties and defending people's rights, not security.

None . They don't care about national security, only individual rights. They have destroyed the belief in personal responsibility in this country.
