What does it take to replace a security card at the social security office? |
I have a driver's license and was born in the USA. I need a SS card for a new job. The HR department said the SS office can provide a letter that states my SS number and that my new card is on the way and that is sufficient for my company. However, I don't have a birth certificate or passport (lost them). So if anything is required besides a drivers license, I could be in trouble? Anyone know? Specifically, this is for the state of GA. I needed my birth certificate to replace my lost SS card. i can tell you in the state of calif. you need a birth cert. marriage cert (if a woman) driver's license, and i think that was it. |
