Yes you need to make inclusive both, as well as 1040, 1099 of your 2007 taxes, note if you have a child and the child reached seventeen years of age last year you may not include her for the child tax credit. this is basically a one time deal of a stimulus package. Good luck.

You need to claim all your income.

The stimulus rebate doesn't impact how you normally prepare your return. If they were both included in the past, then do it for 2004.

On the 1040a (short form): put your VA amount on block 12a and Zero on 12 b.
Social security on 12a, and what ever is the right amount (taxable portion if any) on 12b.

for the 1040 (long form) same order:
Put VA. on 16a, and zero 16b.
social security 20a and any taxable portion on 20b.
