In a medium security correctional facility can you have MP3 players?

No. You cannot have a computer either. Some facilities will allow an inmate to buy a radio, but it's very cheap and it might have an audio cassette player. Some facilities are upgrading to portable CD players.

Each facility have different rules, regulations and protocol. Make sure you know what all of them are. Even if you didn't know the rule, the consequences are the same no matter what. Each facility have different rules for visiting and sending letters too. Always know what is allowed and what isn't allowed.

If you do not have canteen funds in your account, family members can send money to assist with their loved ones. Not everyone has the luxury.
