Realllllllly frustrated...helpp me?

i live in apartment complex where parking is real bi*ch... there is like 3 towing cars around midnight towing cars without parking permit. So yesterday i had a baby shower and needed couple parking temp. passes from the leasing office. i had my husband use one of the temp pass because i wanted my sister to use the main car port parking. ( she arrived late and no more parking spcaes) well long story short my husbands car was towed WITH a parking permit.. we were clueless and when we got to the towing yard and saw what was wrong.. the parking permit taped on his window had came off.. i didnt wanted make things difficult so i paid whole amount 265 dollars to get my truck back.

Yes and that was not it. My truck would not start.... so this guy who is not even a mechanic lifts my truck and goes underneath the truck with few tools. this was all done behind the gate so my husband and i had to peak thru the gate to see what he was doing. I yelled telling him not to touch my truck.. ( i was angry already about the pass falling off and did not want this driver guy just touching my truck WITHOUT my permission. so truck starts and i ask this guy nicely what he did to it. he did not explain himself and denied that he had tools on his hands. he drove the truck out to the parking lot. i told him that we were not going anywhere unless he tells us what he did to the car. i tried calling the police and they said it was a civil matter... geeezzz... this driver guy from the towing yard kept on wanting us to leave to property.. weird huh? what was i suppose to do to protect myself ???? ( we ended up just leaving he towing yard...)

oh yeah i forgot to add that his alarm dont work anymore.. what to do???

Your best bet? Get a police report if you can (but you can't force the police to write a report if there is no crime involved). Go to a mechanic who would be willing to testify for you and your husband in small claims court or fill out an affidavit (notarized and signed under penalty of perjury). Sue in small claims court if you can prove (more likely than not, i.e., more than 50% chance) that the towing company damaged the truck.

Good luck.

start off with filling a police report, seriously. cause if you take it to court, and you don't have one, you could lose your whole case. if they tell you its civil, don't matter, forcce them to let you file!!!! my husband got screwed and lost his car cause we didn't have a police report. then after, talk to an attorny, bring your report
