How to locate someones real property? |
I need to put a Lis Pendes on someone properties. How would I go about looking up the persons name and locating APN numbers on properties. I want to make sure I only Lis Pendes the right persons property only and not everyone with the same name I think you meant "Lis pendens." G to the Tax Assessor's Office and look it up by name, or if you know where the property is by site location and it will give you the assessed owners name and address and the APN! Need to go to the courthouse and run a title search for property they own. Make sure you have a legal description of the property in question. The clerk's office has this type of information. The suit must relate to the particular property and be of a type that can be filed under your jurisdictions lis pendency laws. If you don't know someone owns it, it is hardly likely your suit relates to it. There are legal penalties for filing a fraudulent lis pendens notice. I go to the recorders office and they print me out a list of properties owned by individuals. |
