Half Life Lawsuit?

I am very curious about this.

Some months ago I read a short article about the online game Half Life and how its users would often sell in game property for real money. But one man made a large purchase, $2000 I believe. And the site banned him, and he lost all the money.

I am unsure about how the sale took place. The article made it sound as if the game allowed these sales.

But he took them to court. And it opened a lot of questions about the rights of users on online games.

Anyone know where I can find the ruling and more information?

Thank you! Second Life it was... I wasn't familiar with the game so "Half Life" which I did know, stuck.

I believe the game in question is the massively multiplayer simulation "Second Life". "Half Life" is a first-person shooter where you can't own property. I've found a link to the article for you, and a forum topic on the Second Life community site called SecondCitizen.com.
