For a near pit bull dog attach, which choice would you make? |
A pit bull charged me and came face to face in a near attack on my own property, from a back door neighbor's "kennel". They lack a fence adjacent to my back yard. My family is afraid to go outside. I went to talk to the property owner,(needless to say my heart was still racing and my head was pounding from a migrain that got real bad after the incident, I scraped my leg on a stump in the escape.) My neighbor just said she was sorry. I asked her about building a fence and she said she had been thinking about it. 2 questions;1)Should I contribute in financing this new fence? If she does build a fence and its not on the line dividing your yard and hers then i wouldnt pay for it. I would have also told her that her dog is posing a problem on your family, and tell her that they are afraid to go outside, and if she cant put a kennel in or a fence, then she needs to keep that dog on a leash. I believe that you can call your local law enforcement to file a complaint on her and her dog, just tell them about the problems you are having due to the dog and the police will take care of it. Dont let you family be barred inside of your own property that dog seems like a time bomb waiting to happen, and she wont like the lawsuit she will get when it does attack someone. tell her either take care of that dog or legal action will take place if she dont. Most City's have laws on the books protecting it's citizens from dangerous dogs, and especially pit bulls. And your neighbor doesn't even have a fence? I'd have called the police, and it's not too late to do so. I wouldn't give her a dime for her fence. It's her pit bull. Let her get her own fence. And tell her to do it fast. What would happen if a kid was in the wrong place at the wrong time? And not as lucky as you were. Put up a barbed wire fence between your property and hers. They are very inexpensive. She will realize that if the dog does attempt to go into your yard, it will be hurt. So this will make her fish or cut bait on putting up a safe fence. |
