Got in trouble for putting my trash bag in a dumpster once? |
Had a stinky bag of trash and could not wait for the trash man. there is a dumster a block from my house a an apartment cummunity. so i went over and through my bag in, and a lady that lived there saw me and i believe she wrote my tag number down. anyway i made sure to check for signs, there were no signs for private property and no signs that said anything about illegal dumping. and it was one freaken bag. so a week later i got a letter from the trash company (not sure how they got my address). didn't have my name. threatening me. said they had pictures of The items i dumped (a bag?) and pictures of my car located at my house. said they called the police and the police said to send a letter. and that they would be checking for future items that i put in, and would take legal action. Are they for real, or just trying to blow smoke up my but. anyone know anything about laws in this situation. (maryland) and please don't give me your "lessons" about how not to dump trash in a dumpster thats not yours. The logic behind this common law is that everyone pays to have their trash picked up. Usually it is in your water bill, if it isn't a separate bill. These people get upset because some people don't pay to have their trash picked up often enough or at all. In some cases, the waste company refuses to pick it up due to illegal dumping of hazardous items or trash that is not bagged and tied. So, the woman is upset that now "she" has to carry the burden of paying for your waste disposal. She's that crazy lady that sits at the window with her binoculars, watching everyone else. She has 50 cats. Every neighborhood has one. She's right but you have my sympathy. We've all had that day or that bag of stinky trash. Send her a can of cat food with an apology note. Yes, they are for real, and yes you committed a crime. I suggest you just apologize to them. You do not have to be "notified" with a sign at all. You are in violation of a VERY COMMON city ordinance. You don't want to hear the truth, do you....You are not permitted to use a dumpster that is not yours. them republican and there big government (1) the people in the apartment have to pay for there trash to be taken, so they might have thought that your trying to mooch or something. I'd tell the old snitch that if she opened her mouth again, she'd be going in the dumpster next - in separate trash bags. (But I'm not a very friendly person.) No it,s not a joke. They can fine you if they so choose .... Good Luck.. They are real. Yeah it's for real. Since I've had that happen but they didnt say anything about pictures. They told me that you can't dump trash in a dumpster since we don't pay for it. It's sort of like how a person with a house has trash cans and you pay the community monthly to do all that stuff and more. its illegal. it costs money to rent a dumpster and they can not afford to pay for your trash. |
