Where and How hard is it to find a lawyer to sue another lawyer?

She is now being investigated by the Board Of Professional Responsibility.

Look for a lawyer in the surrounding counties. Since the bopr is investigating her, I'd say you have a good case. If you can't find a lawyer, study the logistics of your complaint & see if you could sue in small claims. The minimum now is $13,000.00 If she realizes she's busted, she may settle for that or a bit less.

Good luck!

I tried that but Lawyers protect themselves at all cost. It is a losing battle.

Lawyers love to sue each other. It's challenging and fun.Just look in the yellow pages and find a few with a free consultation.Give them the complete story, and you'll have a lawyer within hours.

Very hard, but I hear if you go into a county other than your own, that might help.

It is not hard at all if you have a case, but in seeking a lawyer you should look in an area where there are lawyers who do not have personal contacts with the lawyer you want to sue. No one wants to sue a lawyer who he will have to see in court day after day. I personally sued another lawyer, won the case with a jury verdict, and subsequently won the appeal to the appellate court. It was not pleasant and I would not recommend it to anyone. Your problem may be that you really don't have a case, that the lawyer you want to sue may be broke and without insurance, or that you are unwilling or unable to pay the fee for this kind of case.

I have been having a problem with my divorce attorney with various things, and I called the Board of Professional Responsibility. Also, the attorneys in my state are governed by the state Supreme Court. I found that once I contacted the BPR, his attitude changed and he actually began doing his job.

Don't know what exactly your story is, but I highly recommend going to an attorney away from where you live. I think it might be more likely to be able to get a different attorney to sue if the Board decides there has been a problem with your attorney.

Good luck!
