Kentucky laws regarding breaking & entering/burglary?

Where can I find a website that tells information on what you can and cannot do when someone attempts to break in your house? I live in Kentucky. My husband was in the Military, and seems to think its OK to shoot someone on your property, if they're attempting to steal/do whatever. I just need some insight on whats actually OK and whats not. Thanks!

Deadly force is allowed to protect you're self if they are INSIDE the house. I don't think any state allows you to shoot someone just because they are on you're property.
