The Royal Military Police have launched an investigation into an allegation that British soldiers sexually assaulted a 14-year-old Iraqi boy.

The alleged victim, who is now 19, has told of being whipped, beaten and forced to strip in May 2003 by British soldiers at Camp Bread Basket near Basra, according to a report in the Independent on Sunday. He has launched a civil case against the Ministry of Defence.

An MoD spokesman confirmed the military police were investigating the alleged abuse. "Efforts are in the process of being made to contact the alleged victim as soon as possible," the official said.

I believe he may have been beaten up BUT I don't believe a serious investigation is or will be done. They'd be biting the hand that feeds them.

Let's hope so. i believe that in the end... True Justice always prevails... it is my faith.

[9:12[ But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and taunt you for your Faith, - you fight the chiefs of Unfaith: for their oaths are nothing to them: that thus they may be restrained.

dear Bruno... i do not believe that the efforts of man are worth much... that is why i take refuge in God. [9:16]

No i dont. and the reason i feel this way is because they're special opps personal were caught commiting terrorist actions by the government of Iraq and when improsined for this, the U.K. government broke down the jail, took the soldiers back, and several months later released this statement. "we appologize to the Iraq government and it's people for the terrorist actions"

Do I believe it, yes, if the article says they are investigating abuse, I have no reason to disbelieve it. What's the question? Are you just trying to find a way to spew hatred about the troops. Yeah, that's what I thought.

Yes, I do. We've investigated other allegations, and in some cases have paid large sums in compensation to victims.
