Get into the FBI?

I wanted to know how hard is it to get into the FBI. Here is my background i am prior military served 4 yrs and speaks Chinese and about to get my BA in Accountant and going for my masters.

go find out: http://www.fbijobs.gov/111.asp

military may sub for the "professional work experience." and the chinese is a serious plus.

Very nice!!!! The FBI is looking for agents with foreign language skills, and degrees. If you have these two your pretty much in. You need to fill out an application, get notified, background check pending a year, physical test, push-ups, chin-ups, running three miles timed, eye and hearing test and last a psychological evaluation. Good Look.

I'll assume that you mean as a Special Agent. You should know that the FBI also employs many many people as linguists, Hostage Rescue Agents, etc, etc.

Normally, you need 20/20 vision or better. Glasses are unacceptable. They sometimes accept you if you can prove trouble free use of contact lenses over the past year that allow you to have an effective vision of 20/20 of better.

A clean record is a MUST. As is a valid driver's licence. you must also have at least three years of work experience.

You must be older than 23 years of age but no older than 37 upon applying.

To gain entry to the programme, a four year degree in a relevant subject area. Luckily, accounting is one of them. The others are: law, computer science/ IT and languages. The degree must also be from a college or university recognised by the US.

If you've got all of that then you're just about ready for the physical and written tests required.

Good luck.

Do they have a website, like the CIA ? If so, why not contact them and ask?

Go with Golden's answer, and if you don't qualify as a Special Agent, they probably employ a lot of other people with good qualifications.

As long as you don't have an arrest record or drug use your qualification sound like what they're looking for. You can access the FBI web site and ceck out the qualifications.
