You must have some people that don't like you reporting you. The other poster is right about the new reporting methods. The Y!A team relinquished their policing to users. They have too many users to read every violation themselves now so they just have a program issue a violation if a question or answer was reported a certain number of times. Sometimes, depending on the reporter, it doesn't need as many reports. That is if the person who reported you built up a good reporting score. The new system sucks. Now people that just "disagree" with you can report you and you basically get censored, even if you didn't violate a community guideline. It has a lot of kinks unfortunately.

Some of the community guidelines are a little silly too. I have been reported for the stupidest technical violations. I used a German word in one of my answers because the question asked about German (In the politics section) and I answered in English and said good bye in German. Some dolt, reported me for not using "English." If someone is out to get you, then they will find the littlest things to nail you on.

Thanks. Report It

i never heard of it.

Yahoo lets thug answerers do the policing of this site. They issue violations solely on reporting. They do not review appeals but send a canned response backing the violation decision...they then give you the option of jumping through hoops for them.

Sorry, but according to YA's rules, raichasays has it right. Not saying that the rules are fair, but around here the only definitions that matter are the ones that YA makes up. raicha's description of "chat" comes right out of the YA FAQs. Won't matter how much you quote from the dictionery, YA doesn't agree, so you get a violation.

You asked why, you got an answer why. Just because you don't like the answer, doesn't make it wrong. But this is a free forum and you are entitled to give the thumbs down and block any user who dares to give you a legitimate answer instead of just joining in the chorus of "YA sucks".

Yahoo is run by................yahoos

It's not a violation, the question was "Has anyone ever heard of the military prayer?" It's a survey question. Appeal the violation immediately, and tell Yahoo that it was indeed a poll. They should reinstate the question. I had this happen the other day, and as long as you are concise and respectful in explaining your case, they do react favorably. Good luck.

nothing wrong with it and personally i think its beautiful. probably someone got their panties in a bunch cuz you said dear lord,

I've read the rules. My guess is that it is considered to be chat. Real questions on YA must 1) seek advice, and 2) be "knowledge" worthy.

Your question does not seek advice and it is not knowledge worthy as defined by YA--meaning there is no value to knowing the answer to this question. The only true response to your question is a simple yes or no, which is little value to anyone, including you. The only purpose of this question is to engage others in chatting with you and draw attention to a prayer you like, not to seek knowledge.

y would that be a violation if yahoo actually has a sub-section where you can ask religious questions. & people say way dumb stuff on here is that described as terms of violation?
