What is the purpose of workmans comp mediation?

What is the purpose of workmans comp mediation?

To speed the process and avoid litigation. If you try to take a worker's comp case to court, you'll be tied up for 6-30 months depending on your state's court backlog. If you mediate, you attempt to resolve the matter without having to spend the money involved in litigation. It's often a win-win since both party's have a vested interest in avoiding further expense.
