What is definition of Abuse of Power for a Civil Lawsuit in U.S. District Court in MI? What is Mediation?

Best answer receives the points.

Abuse of power is just that....someone who abuses their position for "bad" things...It also depends if it is a criminal, divorce or other proceeding...need more info because it can mean a lot of different things depending on the facts of a case. Check your local district court in your county...they all have web sites and you can find the name of the filing and see what it contains or basically figure out what it is for. Just click on the forms section or legal help center on the site.

Mediation is when two parties sit down with a court "mediator" and hash out their differences. If the two parties don't agree they have to go in front of the judge to settle the dispute. It is just a final attempt at coming to an agreement without going into court.
