Should I file for interim orders? |
I have orders that my ex and I share equal care of our 12 and 10 y/o chn. Kids told me this wk that their step mother has been using them as pawns when arguing with their father (deliberately saying things about them in earshot when arguing with their father; treating them differently from her own kids). The kids went back to their father on Fri arvo but on Sat. morning he called to ask if I would take them back b/c of his partner's behaviour (which means if must have been bad). There was an incident on Sat. morning and the kids arrived back in tears. My gut tells me I should put in an applicn for interim orders based on the fact that the kids are not in a safe and nurturing environment at their father's house without going to mediation 1st. There are other reasons to support interim orders that I was going to file for after going to mediation anyway (b/c I know the father would not agree to me having the kids for 11 days each fortnight anyway.) The custody of the children must be submitted to the court for trial in order the best for the future will be determined. |
