How is interest calculated in civil cases ?

How would you calculate interest on a civil complaint settled
in mediation,is it compounded(daily,monthly,or annualy)?
How does that work?

It will depend on the laws of your state and often your state's Supreme Court Rules which govern civil procedure. Presuming that the matter was reduced to a judgment after mediation, the judgment rate will vary. Check with an attorney or a clerk of a court in your state. The Clerk of the court's office can tell you what the current interest rate is and if its compounded or simple interest.
