If a landlord is humiliating you for several times in front of the other tennants, do you have legal rights? |
If you have a verbal agreement to pay the rent at a specific date and he tries to force you to pay it sooner then that date by humiliation you in front of the other tennants, do you have the legal right to 'walk away'? So, to leave the house within the contract period Hi. Thank you so for for all your answers. 1- he has the right to kick you out IF you are not paying at all, but first he has to report to the local council Is he from a different ethnicity that you are. This could qualify under "ethnic intimidation." If he pulls that stuff, just remind him in front of the witnesses what the lease says. If you pay by the due date, there shouldn't be any humiliation. First verbal agreements are not binding, it is your word against there's, why would you want a landlord that is not professional enough to bind you into a non legal contract? Unless he slanders you before witnesses you have no case. You should never break a signed contract, if you do YOU will be at fault, even if it other person is the one that created the conditions for it. Thump the twat you mard pillock and walk out.thats why he humiliates you you have no bloody spine and expect somebody else (the law) to do what you should bloody do. if its not stated on paper, it usually cant be held up in court...so if you pay by whatever date is stated in the contract(which is usually the day you moved in) there shouldnt be any legal consequences... UK police regard this as "Verbal Harassment". u can legally move |
