If I am declared bankrupt in the UK, will my landlord find out if it is my father?

I rent privately from my father and there are no third parties involved, i.e. letting agencies

If he buys the newspapers he might as all bankruptcies are put in the paper, usually towards the back pages they are listed daily or weekly in some cases.

Surely you would be able to tell your father your situation. Its best not to keep that to yourself also he may be able to help you. It is a stressful situation to be in.

Most landlords don't check credit files. So, it is unlikely he will find out.

If you want to help out your bankers and creditors you might tell him and he could help you pay them back some money.

I personally wouldn't want to tell my father because he would want to help me - while all he was doing is helping my creditors - who knowingly take on these risks.

Given that, I think you have an excuse for not telling him. If he finds out he will feel untrusted and all that. However if you have a good reason he will likely forgive your lie of omission.
