Litigation against landlord?

I have a yr lease and found out that my landlord was in danger of losing the house about six months ago. She was quite threatening to me as if I had done something wrong. She went on to list the house and I was repeatedly inconvienienced with realtors and inspectors wanting to gain access. When I was less than accomidating with these intrusions, she threatened me with eviction. I was concerned that she might succeed in kicking me out so I tried to help when I could. Now my lease is up and I am out of that mess but as a final blow, she turned off my water on the last day which resulted in no shower, use of toilet or ability to properly clean house. Now that this woman has no way to hurt me, I want to take her to court for what ever monetary damages the judge sees fit to assess. Do I have a case?

Man I'll tell you what to do and there ain't a darn thing that she can do about it
.
The next time you know that someone is coming to inspect the house answer the door with a bath towel wrapped around your naked body and answer the door
.
And while in conversation fake like you stepped on a thumb tack
.
And drop the towel
While flinging open the door full distance
.
I have done this and they tried to get me arrested until the officer told them that what happens in the process of opening a door that is not under my control is not a crime
.

Most leases have a clause allowing the landlord access to the apartment under limited circumstances, often including showings if the building is to be sold. I would start by checking your lease carefully.

Beyond that, I have never heard of a court awarding damages for something like losing water for one day.

In my opinion, you have more of a personal grievance than a legal case.

Sorry you do not.
You where lucky. Many rent houses and do not know the owner is losing the house.
They find out the hard way and only have a few days to get out!
As for the water she could say, opps forgot.
One day no cause of action.
People like her make good landlords look bad and we do not like them either!

Once in my life, I had a situation like that and I moved into a better location and I try to forget the nad experience. I would just go on with your life and forget the bad experience.
