Apartment complex sending me letters?

Two months ago my apartment complex sent me a letter saying that I must stop doing in home daycare cause it was causing a disturbance to my neighbor. So I stopped like I was told now I get another letter saying my children are to loud and crying to much and I must stop the noise. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and they are kids I am not sure what they want me to? I do my best to keep the noise down but kids have tantrums sometimes I can not stop all noise. The neighbor above me works from home and he is saying my son is crying to much and he can not get his work done. I try to call up the landlord but they do not return my calls they just keep sending me these letters yet they offered to renew my lease I am very confused and am wondering what can they really do...evict me later on if I can not keep the noise at their standards?

For one, stop calling your landlord. You need to start sending your landlord letters certified. This way, if your landlord wants to sue you for some reason or you need to sue your landlord, YOU have proof that you are trying to communicate with him/her.

Another suggestion is speaking with your neighbor who is complaining. Lastly, talk to others that are surrounding your apartment to see if it is bothering them. If they say no, see if they will go with you and have them write a letter indicating it does not bother them or they cannot hear it and have the letter notarized.

Lastly, if your apartment lease is up, see if the landlord can move you into a different apartment.

You may also want to review your contract to see what it says about noise...
Good luck!
