Comcast cable problem, not sure what to do, any suggestions?

Here's whats going on....

I moved into a place where the prior tenent had comcast, when I went online to get mine put on, I may have said to much by saying I already have the equipment because she left it behind. Then they looked furthur into the address and realized that there is still a balance at this residence. They said I am unable to get mine on until hers is paid, What the hell?!?!!?!

So I said something to the landlords because the past tenent just so happens to be their daughter, which iut has been three weeks and she still hasnt paid for it.
When I asked one of the comcast girls well what do i do now she said their wasnt much! Or I could bring the lease down to the office to show the girl doesnt live there. Well I work 12-14 hours a day and do not have the time, their already closed when I'm off anyhow. And they will not allow me to fax it!

Anyone have this happen to them?
Should I try to do it online again and just not say a word when i'm chhatting at the end

That's just wrong!
Time Warner Cable, darlin'!
